Thoughts of Freedom from the Pandemic
Thoughts of Freedom from the Pandemic
We should embrace new situations; however, some situations are more difficult to embrace than others.
If some had said to you this time last year that the world would be hit by a pandemic, the world will go into lock down and you will live close to isolation with your family no less, what would your response have been?
The pandemic has abolished our freedom to travel and explore, to gather in unison with large groups of family and friends, to celebrate occasions and to embrace our elderly loved ones.
Perhaps it makes us suspicious and judging also as though we are living under a regime.
However, unlike a regime, we do this for freedom.
For the freedom of our families and friends so that they will not be lost to the pandemic through spread of the virus and so that they can live on. It will bring us the freedom of how we felt and the possessions we now realize we don’t need.
And when it lifts and we emerge, we can live in a new world feeling more grateful for all that we previously had and had taken for granted
