Purcelloleary have been assigned to recruit for the role of System administrator, Dublin.

The ideal candidate for the System administrator role is experienced in cloud-based tech, with a firm grasp of emerging technologies, platforms, and applications, and ability to customize them to help our business become more secure and efficient. E

The systems administrator also must have extensive knowledge of cloud maintenance, experience managing expectations, and advanced industry knowledge is key to keeping us on the cutting edge. From day one, you’ll have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our IT operations, and an ongoing impact on our overall growth.


• Support our engineering team to implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company
• Follow best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design
• Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines



• Implement technical efforts to deploy AWS applications based on project requirements
• Troubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures
• Support teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required
• Employ exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues reducing their affects business productivity


Requirements for The systems administrator


• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology
• 2+ years of experience architecting, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms
• Understanding of, and experience with the five pillars of a well-architected frameworks
• Experience with deployment and management of Linux servers
• Working knowledge of Microsoft technologies (e.g. Windows Server, Active Directory)
• Good understanding of open-source technologies (proxies, caching service, web servers)
• Proven ability to collaborative with multi-disciplinary teams of business analysts, developers, data scientists, and subject matter experts
• Experience with CI/CD systems
• Proficient with orchestration technologies (Terrafom, Ansible/AWX)
• Proficient with git and git workflows
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL
• Problem-solving attitude
• Collaborative team spirit
