Application Support Engineer (Level 2) – FTC

Our client is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic person to join our Application Support team. You will work closely with the Operations and Development teams.

Experience of Database, Web and Mobile applications. A good knowledge of web technologies, PHP, CSS, JavaScript, HTML, React, object-orientated programming, Java or Python.
SQL Query skills (MySQL)

 

The company operates on a 24*7 basis. The Application Support team cover between 08am and 12am including weekends and public holidays. Applicants must be available on a flexible basis to work the required shifts.

 

Key Responsibilities for the Application Support Engineer (Level 2) – FTC

  • Monitoring of all production systems and sub-systems
  • Incident management, resolution, and escalation of issues on all environments
  • Troubleshooting and investigating issues on all applications
  • Maintain the documentation set on all applications and systems

 

Essential Requirements for the Application Support Engineer (Level 2) – FTC

  • Fluent in English
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience
  • Linux shell scripting experience
  • Experience of Database, Web and Mobile applications
  • A good knowledge of web technologies, PHP, CSS, JavaScript, HTML & React
  • A good knowledge of object-orientated programming, Java or Python
  • SQL Query skills (MySQL)

 

Desirable requirements for the Application Support Engineer

  • Experience in an Application Support role preferred
  • Experience working in a 24*7 production environment
  • Experience supporting web, mobile web and mobile applications
  • Experience supporting applications in written in PHP, Python, JavaScript and HTML
